Don’t call it a comeback!
Seconds after the announcement that a Marvel MMO was not going to be possible (wink, wink!), Cryptic throws some D’s on that bitch and assured us that there will be a return of the mack. In the preview cover for the March issue of Game Informer we learn that Cryptic Studios is already working on their next MMO, Champions Online will continue their legacy of superhero MMOs that is sure to take us to the next level of greatness.
Everyone that has ever played COH/V should run to their nearest game shop and reserve this game RIGHT NOW! Cryptic ended up the worst out of this whole Marvel v. NCsoft deal and they deserve a little something from the fans.

PS- that little pic was the only thing I could find about Champions Online. Cryptic hasn’t even officially posted anything on their site.
PPS- while I was researching this thing I found that several folks think that this game is based on a Pen and Paper RPG called…. Champions! Which is funny because Marvel had to change the name of one of their comics, The Initiative Champions, because the folks that own the RPG hold the rights to the name now. So it looks like Cryptic has been working behind enemy lines ever since their CO (NC soft) left them there.
